Coffee cup littering

It seems wherever I go in Prince George I come across discarded Tim Horton's coffee cups. One can walk along the streets and sidewalks, through various stores or even on the trails in the parks and see these cups littering the environment.

It seems wherever I go in Prince George I come across discarded Tim Horton's coffee cups. One can walk along the streets and sidewalks, through various stores or even on the trails in the parks and see these cups littering the environment. Even in a store like Walmart, which has a McDonald's, it is primarily Tim Horton cups that one will encounter. Why there are not as many Burger King, Starbuck or McDonald cups thrown away is a mystery. Possibly they cater to a classier clientele. One way to eliminate this type of littering would be to charge a deposit (possibly a loonie) so the cups could be returned and recycled. On a similar note, if one takes a tour through any supermarket parking lot it is immediately apparent which establishments require a coin to use a grocery cart. Carts are left everywhere when there is no fee. Most people will return anything if they can get back their quarter or buck.
