In an online poll, the Citizen asked readers: Should unlicensed daycares in Prince George be closed by Northern Health?
Here are the results:
364 votes (27%) - Absolutely (huge child safety issue)
302 votes (23%) - Maybe (work with the daycare operator to get a license)
237 votes (18%) - Depends on the condition of the daycare
186 votes (14%) - Not really (unless imminent danger, allow to stay open)
236 votes (18%) - No way (fix the daycare shortage first)
There were 1,325 votes cast when the poll was on the website from June 19 to July 7.
