Prince George city council met with Premier David Eby on April 14 to discuss issues of homelessness, mental health and addictions in the city.

In an online poll, the Citizen asked readers: Are you optimistic about the province's partnership with Prince George to combat homelessness?

Here are the results:

84 votes (7%) - Very optimistic (big problem needs big effort)

262 votes (22%) - Cautiously optimistic (no fast or easy fix)

130 votes (11%) - Mixed (it might help a bit but might not)

115 votes (10%) - Slightly pessimistic (too late and not enough)

584 votes (50%) - Very pessimistic (band-aid announcements no help at all)

There were 1,176 votes cast when the poll was on the website from June 19 to July 7.
