I attended the Annual Family Christmas concert at the Elder Citizens Recreation Centre Dec. 15 performed jointly by the Forever Young Chorus and The Gospel Singers. The members are all seniors ranging in age from 55 to 93 under the direction of Janice Taylor and Joyce Burkitt. Vic Steblin and Barbara Claffey provide piano accompaniment to the groups.
I am not proficient with words to do the centre justice for the outstanding and magnificent choirs' presentation. It was an excellent performance and, no doubt, involved hard work and dedication of everyone involved.
I also want to include the elegant waltz danced by Lino and Kathy Nadalin and the versatile performances by the Three Tenors.
Anyone that missed the concert missed the best Christmas musical event of the season.
For me, it was the highlight of my Christmas.
A job well done.
