I have a major concern about the lights at 15th Avenue and Ospika Boulevard.
Perhaps my bigger concern is the drivers in this city who have some how forgotten the basic rules of the road and the concept of four-way stops.
Perhaps they have also forgotten another basic rule at four-way stops - pedestrians have the right of way.
My four children aged 12,10,10 and 9 and their nine-year-old friend were attempting to cross Ospika on a walk to the Aquatic Centre. They are mature, responsible children and are aware of all safety precautions they need to take. It is despicable for any decent human being to see four children in the middle of a crosswalk, and make them turn back and fear for their safety.
Some decent motorists, stopped to allow them across, the kids started and another not so decent motorist sped past them. I must admit, in my eyes my children are worth more than you being a few minutes late to whereever you have the need to be.
ps: City Of Prince George, fix the lights!
