There's a seventy-nine-year-old pompous white elephant sitting in the room that should be put out to pasture. It is rude, bloated and costing Canadians a fortune, nearly
$1 billion annually; this is hard to justify during the start of another recession.
I'm talking about CBC and so should all Canadians.
As the federal fall election of 2015 approaches, we should be demanding that our political representatives argue the point that CBC be put on the cutting block. What we get from this antiquated monstrosity is propaganda and social engineering from the pompous radical left; anyone with opposing views to those of the CBC is met by scoffing, mocking or are just ignored. It is simply insulting.
CBC's blatantly biased perspectives are not shared by most Canadians, although their staff, feasting at the public trough, would like to believe so.
One of the corporation's mandates is to reflect Canada and its regions to national and regional audiences, while serving the special needs of those regions. Note the word 'reflect.' The mandate is not to advocate, indoctrinate or to re-educate those who do not share CBC's perspectives of what Canada should be.
As we enter the new global downturn, the billion dollars wasted on CBC should instead go towards jobs, housing and healthcare.
Our proverbial white elephant stinks of scandals, litigation and overspending. If a poll was taken today, would Canadians really want to support the Chronically Beastly Corporation?
