Father's Day car show
How does an event so large, that it draws approximately 400 cars from all over B.C. and thousands of spectators, and takes hundreds of volunteer hours to put on go almost unnoticed by our local news papers?
The Cruisin Classics car club worked very hard to make this show a success and the ten dollar car entrance fee is donated back to the community in various ways.
I say almost unnoticed because both of our local papers found fit to publish a small picture of the event with a two or three line caption in their respective papers. An event that filled up Ft. George Park almost to capacity, maybe our astute news hounds were still lamenting the defeat of Adrian 'what's his name'.
It's pretty hard to consider Prince George a city on the move when an event which drew that many people didn't warrant any more space in the local paper, maybe it should have been billed as a protest.
