Canadians to the rescue

Our conversion van broke down 24 kilometres from Prince George in March and a number of Canadians came to our rescue. A young couple turned around and came back to aid us in the bitter cold.

Our conversion van broke down 24 kilometres from Prince George in March and a number of Canadians came to our rescue. A young couple turned around and came back to aid us in the bitter cold. They helped us contact 5 Star Towing, who sent Kyle to bring us into town. Kyle stayed hours after he got off work, helped us get antifreeze to keep our engine from freezing with all the water we had poured into it, found a motel that would allow us to keep my show dogs in the room, got a taxi driver to take us and the dogs to Econoline, and then helped us load dogs, possessions, and us up.

Then there was Kevin, the taxi driver, who loaded everything in his van and even went back when I discovered I had left my wallet in the van. And the repair shop that got right on the repairs (blown water hose) and had the repairs completed by noon. And Econoline who allowed us a late checkout with no extra charge. Words cannot express our gratitude to all these wonderful people who helped us during this very stressful situation.
