Calm resolve needed

Thanks to Neil Godbout for writing what might be the best and clearest review of the softwood countervailing issue. The chatter that has surrounded the issue has at times been stupendous.

The issue should have been settled by the Conservative party years ago (I voted for them) but now lies in the hands of the Liberal negotiating team. I am pleased to hear Justin Trudeau speak calmly, not reactionary and politically. Anyone who says they are going to go and demand a better resolve from Donald Trump has been in a coma for at least a year!

Neil is right, the B.C. government has little to do with the negotiations but support of a calm resolve by B.C. is the best action. I am pleased to hear Christy Clark has asked for "cooler heads to prevail."

Canada and B.C. have had much success over the years by "working with" industry and governments. We need to stay calm, diversify our markets (thanks Pat Bell) and let the facts play out. We have no other choice.
