Brings your memory to the polls

I see our provincial debt under the Liberal Party is set to double. Finance Minister Hansen calls it prudent, responsible, manageable and affordable. What a load of bovine scat.

This government intends to tax ICBC to the tune of $778 million over the next three years. It is not in ICBC's mandate to make a profit. Private insurers take note. ICBC can certainly save a few hundred thousand by chopping the useless Vicki Gabereau advertising columns and not implementing a $400 million "transformation project."

Forget any pay raises. I am forced to fully insure two vehicles when I can only drive one at a time. There is no alternative. Responsible management should identify service improvements and raise cash over a number of years.

The same could be said about BC Hydro. They want $2 billion for new metres and $8 billion for infrastructure improvements. Responsible management should have identified these projects and spaced them over a number of years. Instead they hide their theft of "return on investment", which should read more tax.

They want to increase MSP by six per cent. That's fine if you have paid government medical insurance. Politicians, civil service and public employees don't directly pay for their coverage. But my private sector earnings haven't gone up. In fact my take home has shrunk, mostly because of all manner of taxes.

The HST fiasco belongs solely to Liberal caucus. When it is defeated, bill each liberal the entire cost. Take it out of their pensions. Break them.

Let's not forget it's the Liberal caucus who are directly responsible for incurring these monstrous debts. They don't pay for them.

Remember when we go to the polls.
