The tale of two shows:
I love music and boxing. Last weekend I was excited to be able to experience both, but was very disappointed in one and very impressed with the other. On Friday evening, friends and I went to see the Platter and Inkspots at the Ramada Hotel. There were a multitude of disappointments but most of all the sound system was terrible. Not a word of these wonderful singers could be heard, never mind their lovely harmonies, etc.
On Saturday evening, my husband and I went to see the 10 boxing matches at UNBC sports centre. What an excellent experience. The organization was excellent including appropriate music between bouts and especially for the final bout (Rocky Theme and We Are the Champions) I would like to congratulate Bob Pegues and his team of amazing volunteers for putting together an excellent evening of sport and entertainment. I was once again reminded why Prince George is a wonderful community. Don't leave the entertainment and sports experiences to the business world - they don't do a great job. Honour your community volunteers and their excellent commitment to bringing audiences wonderful experiences. Thanks again Bob and crew.
