We really do live amongst earthly angels.

Friday Jan. 30, Prince George was blessed with this abundant gift of snow that continually fell throughout the day and part of the night.

Feeling somewhat better in the afternoon; donning winter shoveling gear, I went out and braced myself for this excessive snow removal that fell on my driveways.

While in the midst of trying to remove all the snow, the grader was also achieving this same feat. Feeling somewhat apprehensive and daunted - I yelled at the driver to please clear the front of the driveways as I have two appointments to attend.

The driver was very considerate and helpful with removal of the major amount of snow, and I cleared the residual left in the driveway.

A young man two doors down from me offered to clear the entrance way, if the grader driver did not do it.

Returning later in the early evening; I again shoveled the driveways as it had snowed the remainder of the day prior to my arrival home that evening.

As I'm shoveling snow, this truck pulls up behind my parked car on the side of the road; rolls down his window and asks if I have a shovel.

I replied "Yes, what do you need it for?" and he replies "I'm going to help you shovel the snow."

I said: "That would be nice, are you going to charge me for it?"

He said no.

Getting out of the car and taking the shovel I had brought for him, he immediately began to shovel the snow at such a fast speed - much faster than what I would ever be able to shovel. I thanked him, stating that it takes me much longer due to my fibromyalgia and chronic pain.

I offered to take him out for lunch and he wouldn't hear of it. He wanted to help out; with no reimbursement of any kind.

After my insistence, he said I could pay it forward - which is something I do all the time anyway.

Living in our community makes it worthwhile when one has thoughtful, considerate people willing to help our strangers in our community.

This is in appreciation of wonderful human beings who are willing to help out someone in need.
