Better to bank on rural schools

The Citizen has been full of news regarding the closing of rural schools.

The Citizen has been full of news regarding the closing of rural schools. I am wondering if anyone has considered busing the kids in town out to the rural schools? I know at first that may sound ridiculous, but I grew up going to Buckhorn elementary and in retrospect I figure as kids we had many more benefits compared to those living in town. First, we had nowhere to "hang out", so as kids we still continued to play right up into our final elementary years. Secondly, it seemed that what we wore was not in the forefront of importance. Lastly, the air quality was so much better than right in town. I just wish that other children could have the option of attending a rural school and growing up with fresh air and a little more innocence in those precious early years.
