Bear lives matter

In response to Eugene Fetterly's letter, "Boo hoo, a bear died."

The letter is a sorry effort to justify a poor decision that ended in an unnecessary death. The mother bear defended her cubs against an imaginary threat, then returned to the woods, her habitat. The man injured by her was treated for his wounds. There was no further threat to anyone. The matter should now have been closed, but because the bear had the audacity to attack a human, a government agent made the decision that she had to be killed.

This is wrong! There is no conscionable way to justify that action.

As for the meat, we don't need it.

The stores are full of meat and we sure as hell don't need bear parts for anything.

Is our human ego so fragile we have to destroy anything that challenges us in any way? All lives matter, period.
