Be considerate on Tabor

A request to snowshoers on Tabor cross country ski trails. It is great to see more people out on snow shoes discovering and enjoying the Tabor x-country trails. I do both snow shoeing and cross country skiing, but on Tabor I purely ski.

A request to snowshoers on Tabor cross country ski trails.

It is great to see more people out on snow shoes discovering and enjoying the Tabor x-country trails. I do both snow shoeing and cross country skiing, but on Tabor I purely ski. As a skier, I have a request and that is we come up with an arrangement where each group create their own tracks.

When snowshoers go over the ski tracks it very much detracts from the skiing; it is lumpy and impossible to get a good kick and glide.

Presently there are sections which will be difficult to separate the tracks, but where we can I'd like we create our own separate tracks.

On Wednesday, four of us set a ski track up Sawdust, and we have attempted to stay left; on the hills it may not be so obvious, because to slow our speed coming down we have to leave the tracks.

It will be hard work setting the new ski and snow shoe tracks, but for us skiers the extra work will be worth while for us to enjoy the skiing on Tabor, and I hope those of you on snow shoes can assist us in the matter.

Thank you.
