For most of my life I have believed that Canada is a multicultural society. Different groups and tribes forming a society that is democratic. The majority rule but minority rights are protected.
We all must abide by the same rule and laws. No group should be discriminated against because of their race. There is no first or second class citizens except for First Nations (aboriginals). Government propaganda tells us that we should accept special laws and rules based on race.
I don't agree! I think natives should have the same right as Second Nations People (meaning everyone else).
We are equal but from different tribes and cultures. Whether you agree with my position or not is not the point. This is an issue that needs to be debated in public and yet those who are asking for our votes are avoiding it.
I don't care what a candidate's view is on the subject but they need to make their views public. If this is not debated before the federal election I will receive my ballot but leave it blank when I put it in the ballet box.
In this way I hope to tell the elected official that they are not representing me.
