The last time I checked my mailing address it said Prince George not Kamloops, Kelowna or Nanaimo as the saying goes what does the price of rice in China have to do with Prince George. All people using the city's surface lots on Vancouver and the Odeon were evicted and the lots were given to the RCMP employee's. I quite suspect that is another reason the rates were hiked to retrieve this lost revenue because they do not have to pay for parking. Why weren't they given the 2nd Ave. parking or behind the Generator (they would be safe walking as they carry guns).
It has also been mentioned that part of the reason for the increase is for maintenance, this past September was the first time since I have been parking in the Westel parkade that we have seen any improvements (paint). Others have said that no improvements have been done on the Second Ave parkade.
I guess in hind sight I really should have been more diligent about who I vote for, you can bet I will be in the future.
