I would like to make everyone especially law enforcement aware of a potentially dangerous situation.
I live and walk along 15th Ave. Quite often I cross at the Nicholson pedestrian controlled walkway.
Many times I have seen cars almost hit myself or my wife as they are either distracted or do not realize there is a light there.
In addition it should be noted that everyday I cross at 15th and Ahbau and there is a stop sign there clearly visible. Yet people do not stop.
Then once they blow through the stop sign they often speed down 15th Ave thinking its a raceway.
I would like to see a stronger police presence in this area. Children travel this corridor to and from school and it's a matter of time before someone gets hit or killed.
And for those of you who drive in this area please be cautious of pedestrians and remember a stop sign means stop not just slow down.
