Dear Mr Godbout, I see you don't fancy the new sculpture outside the Rolling Mix Coliseum (editorial, Oct. 21).
I expect the same feelings were expressed over many other sculptures including those of Michelangelo, Rodin and Henry Moore, which unfortunately we really can't afford.
I think the balloons are beautifully made from very satisfying granite. To me they capture in a new and humorous way an essential aspect of Prince George, this hard-working old-fashioned place. They make me chuckle whenever I see them, and I think they are a welcome addition to our public art.
