As the staff of Vanway elementary school we would like to publicly congratulate our teaching colleague, Neil Wolfe, in his role as director of our outstanding school choir.
The Vanway Trebles Choir recently took part in Performing Arts BC. This provincial festival includes music, dance, and speech arts. Contestants from local festivals are recommended to the provincials by an adjudicator. Our choir won provincially the Choral Class 108 "Florine Despres". This is the class for all school choirs, both private and public schools, age 12 and younger throughout BC. Way to go Vanway!
The Vanway students have been blessed to have parents, teachers and admininstration whose common goal was to preserve and strengthen the music program over the past decade and a half. The choir's award is the culmination of the dedication of the entire school community and the particular expertise of our wonderful Mr. Wolfe.
We are immensely proud of our choir. We also hope that in writing this letter it will reveal the high quality of music education that goes on in many schools within SD57.
