I first came to Prince George in the early '60s and then moved here in 1971. I have seen a lot of overnight deep snow here through those years, but I have never seen the roads as rough, neglected and atrocious as they have been in the last three days. This city's spending is out of control at the expense of neglecting the essential services. Core review of $350,000, umpteen trips to China to see the wall, police station that only cost $32M except for the fact that we didn't pay cash and the real cost (probably $80 M) is over the next 25 years.
Colin Kinsley took a trip to Japan - remember - to study snow removal. Our councils are confused in regards to their role as elected representatives. I believe strongly that Kinsley should be held responsible for the wasted money visiting Japan and all other council members (and city staff) who have travelled to China should also be held responsible and pay us back. You can't even look after the roads and you want to rub shoulders with world dignitaries. Don't worry about not being able to do your job - someone else will soon have it.
