P.G. teacher-librarians, with support from P.G. Public Library and retired teachers, are holding the 13th Annual Battle of the Books on Friday, April 15 at Ecole Lac de Bois. Participating students have been busy reading twelve Canadian novels for the past several months and in many cases rereading them several times in order to be prepared to answer detailed questions on their contents. We wish them the best in this fun event.

Westwood Elementary Kindergarten and Grade 3 students enjoyed their Fine Arts experience with an artist from the Canadian Arts Council.
The art focus for Kindergarten students was on recycling, using junk from home to make cardboard robots. Grade 3 students created color wheel pizzas after learning about the color wheel. A big thank you to Andrea, our visiting artist from the council.
Mrs. Bouchard's class celebrated reaching 5000 words read by coming to school in their cozy pajamas. Special stories were read, furry friends were in attendance, and a parade through the school topped off an exciting celebration.
