OK. The province and logging companies are telling us they may have to bring in immigrants from other counties to fill position the logging companies have available.
I've been looking at forestry and logging jobs in the paper and online and they all say experience required.
So my question is: the foreign workers that the government wants to bring to Canada, are they already trained to jump into a cab of a fellerbuncher? Or are the companies willing to train them?
I have more than 10 years in a lift truck and more than 10 years running equipment in a sawmill (not mobile equipment though), but that isn't good enough to get me in the door and training on logging equipment.
So if someone, government or logging company, would please clarify it would be appreciated.
