An affront to beauty

To the future mayor of Prince George, Parts of the city are being made ugly by the clear-cutting of densely forested land by developers. Neighborhoods without trees in yards and forests in parks are an affront to beauty.

To the future mayor of Prince George,

Parts of the city are being made ugly by the clear-cutting of densely forested land by developers. Neighborhoods without trees in yards and forests in parks are an affront to beauty.

Under no municipal regime do the tax dollars generated or the fines paid by the developers of these clear-cut neighborhoods recoup the maintenance costs to one's senses.

When I drive down Tyner Blvd. towards College Heights and I see swaths of cleared land, I feel mentally and emotionally sick. I am not the only one who feels this way.

Please, when you take office, do something to stop the clear-cutting of land by developers, and encourage forested park space in neighborhoods.
