Advocating for common sense

I believe Mr. Maslen has misinterpreted the essence of my "published letter." I certainly wasn't condoning dangerous driving but rather advocating for common sense, respect and dignity when officers are dealing with the public.

I believe Mr. Maslen has misinterpreted the essence of my "published letter."

I certainly wasn't condoning dangerous driving but rather advocating for common sense, respect and dignity when officers are dealing with the public. It is easy to speculate on "what ifs" but the fact is that there were no children on the road. I can accept that a ticket was issued but impounding the 79 year old lady's car for a week and leaving her and her passengers on the side of the road with their luggage was an injustice.

Mr. Maslen seems to have wandered off topic and strayed to many instances of truly dangerous driving that don't apply to the lady in question.

We also seem to have different philosophies on how to "educate" drivers.

Every day police officers target people making minor infractions and that has more to do with money than safety.

I, also, have lived in the Lower Mainland and Montreal as well as Prince George and I do not find our drivers "diabolical."

In fact, if I were to research your driving record, would I find that you always drive with "due care and attention?"
