To the nice gentleman who was behind me in line on Friday, Nov. 16 around 12:15 p.m. at Save On Foods in Parkwood Place.
He had a yummy looking strawberry cake and I was commenting on how lovely it looked.
After my groceries were rung up I discovered I was $10 short of money and I was going to discard some items.
I was so embarrassed about this as I had never been in this predicament in all my 80-plus years.
This very kind man asked the nice cashier how much I was short and when she told him, he handed her a $10 bill. I said I wouldn't accept it, but he said it was an early Xmas gift for me.
I can't get over how special that made me feel.
