I do not believe in police brutality under any circumstances. That being said, it happens sometimes that certain things get out of control. When these perpetrators were signaled to stop, they should have stopped the vehicle.
It's obvious these dudes weren't on their way home from a movie. The fact that they were criminally charged leads me to believe that they were not boy scouts. They will probably appear in court and get a slap on the wrist for their behaviour. They will probably plead of an abusive childhood upbringing and that they didn't know any better.
As for the "beating" they got at the hands of the police, they managed to walk away. It's small comfort to believe that's the maximum punishment they will receive. When one gets involved in criminal activities, it goes without saying there is a price to be paid for participating. This generally involves loss of money, personal property, injury, death and incarceration.
When the line is crossed, do not expect to be handled with kid gloves. The majority of the population has no trouble with our way of life. It's just those that want to take without paying the price of admission to society that screws it up for the rest of us.
