A perverted tragedy

I am sure many of us have gone through the range of emotions described by the author when we have listened to the words and witnessed the behaviour of the vulgar and abusive Donald Trump.

What a perverted tragedy for the U.S.A. that this vulgarian became its leader. He is taking the whole country down a blind alley and by his words and actions has made it okay to be racist, sexist and homophobic, just when we thought we were progressing toward a more civil and decent society embracing all people regardless of our differences.

Then to top it off, he makes lying legitimate. He denied using the term shithole and also accused his audience of misunderstanding what he had said, just like you cannot un-ring a bell, once you have said words you cannot call them back

Just think that in the 12 - 13 months that he has been POTUS, he has changed and divided society. His mantra of "Make America Great Again" should by rights be "Make America Hate Again"

It is as though a dark curtain.
