If one pays attention to the news, it is impossible to avoid hearing over and over that Mike Duffy is on trial for falsifying $90,000 in expenses. If that was what this trial was all about, most of us would agree with the proceedings. The truth of the matter is something else altogether.
The person being attacked by the left leaning media, together with the NDP and the Liberals, is Nigel Wright.
Wright is the generous person who opened his wallet and repaid the $90,000 that Duffy absconded with so that the taxpayer would not be out any money. This, to me, represents a good and generous person.
The media, however, and especially Mulcair of the NDP swooped in and attacked Wright who is now being portrayed as a villain, to a greater degree than Duffy. Harper, because he supposedly was aware of the repayment, is to be executed.
The adjective that was applied to one of the reporters who was hounding a Harper supporter was very fitting and described the whole delusional group of frenzied bottom feeders.
The facts of the matter are that Wright repaid the $90,000 that Duffy owed and whether Harper knew this is of no consequence.
Perhaps the media should go after Mulcair. My understanding is that he is a citizen of France and a Canadian second. How can we condone electing a prime minister whose loyalties to our country are questionable?
