A Christmas to remember compliments of the Prince George Native Friendship Centre

The festivities started with the traditional serving of the prestigious Elders. They were seated and served a delicious full course meal, prepared by Alan O'Reily.

The festivities started with the traditional serving of the prestigious Elders. They were seated and served a delicious full course meal, prepared by Alan O'Reily. The volunteers were cheerful and happy as they took care of our Elders every need during their Christmas party. The work that went into this was enormous and was done with pride and class. Approximately 175 plates were served with grace.

The next Christmas activity was the Prince George resident's lunch; this too was an enormous success with approximately 300 guests enjoying the turkey with all the trimmings.

The Friendship Centre honoured the hard work of their staff by inviting them to bring their families for an afternoon of skating and play at the roll-a-dome. The children got to meet the people that work together all year round to bring services to the city of Prince George.

The work continued as the friendship centre hosted a huge Christmas party for the families of Prince George. Approximately 250 guests watched, with happiness, as Santa handed out gifts to the excited little boys and girls.

The Christmas work did not stop there. Approximately 200 Christmas hampers were delivered right to the door or available for pick up.

To the management, staff and all the volunteers that made Christmas at the Prince George Native Friendship Centre exciting, gleeful and proud to be part of Prince George, thank you. I will take the time to acknowledge the hard work, the time and the energy that went into all of these activities. May you all be blessed as the time, energy, money you gave with an open heart return to you three-fold.
