I would like to respond to the letter in the citizen on Friday December 13th. I agree that the new rate increase is too much, it needs to be a more gradual increase, I do hope more people start looking at "power smart " ways to conserve . I would say that a 25 per cent increase feels like a cash grab.
I guess the good thing is at least it is not like the over 90 per cent increase our city of Prince George has charged to the working taxpayers of Prince George to park, now that is definitely is a cash grab, we are becoming more and more the "working poor".
I am sure come voting time , this "cash grab" will be remembered.
