Province looks for nominations of top child-care providers

The provincial government is seeking nominations for childcare providers who are excelling at their craft.

Nominations opened Thursday for the 2014 Child Care Awards of Excellence, which recognize exceptional work done by individual early childhood educators, licensed child-care providers and local governments.

Four awards will be handed out in the provincial category, including one award dedicated to rural and remote parts of the province and another dedicated to Aboriginal care providers. There will also be two innovation awards, three local government awards and seven leadership awards.

Nominations are due by April 15 and and winners will be announced in May. More information is available at
