Police have charged a man with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Elija Dumont on Nov. 10 in Houston.
William Griffin was arrested without incident by the RCMP Friday in Terrace and was remanded in custody. He’s due to appear in court in Smithers on Tuesday.
Police in Houston, 307 kilometres west of Prince George, were called to a report of a shooting in a 2100-block Cataline Court home shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 10 and found Dumont dead in the home.
Police believe that the two men were known to each other and this was an isolated incident
Griffin is remanded in custody and will appear in court on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Smithers Provincial courts.
The RCMP North District’s E Division Major Crime Section continues to investigate the murder.
