WorkSafeBC fines roofer

WorkSafeBC has fined a Prince George roofing business.

To the Peak Roofing Inc. was hit with a $2,500 penalty after an inspector saw three of its workers on a sloped roof of a home wearing fall protection but not connected to lifelines - exposing them to a risk of falling 4.9 m (16. ft.), according to a posting on the WorkSafeBC website.

The fine was issued on May 13 and posted on June 30. The company has requested a review of the decision.
