Woman "victim of targeted shooting" in Moore's Meadow

Investigators now believe the woman found Monday morning in Moore's Meadow was the victim of a targeted shooting. The woman, who is known to police, remained in serious but stable condition in hospital.

The woman, who is known to police, remained in serious but stable condition in hospital.
RCMP are asking anyone who may have been in the area along Foothills Boulevard between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. to contact investigators. 
Police reopened a portion of Foothills Boulevard from First Avenue to Otway Road in the late afternoon while the park was scheduled to be reopened by 6 p.m.
"Investigators believe this was a targeted attack and that public safety is not in jeopardy," Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglas said.
RCMP were called to the scene at 5 a.m.
