Drivers are being urged to hold off any plans to make their way through the Pine Pass today.

"Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions," Environment Canada said in a posting. "Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow."

From 10 to 15 cm of snow was expected to fall in that area during the day followed by another 10 to 15 cm overnight, according to the agency.

As of this morning, snowfall alerts remained in place for the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District, Williston, B.C. Peace and Fort Nelson regions. They called for as much as 20-25 cm depending on the region.

A snowfall alert for Stuart Nechako was ended late this morning.

No alerts were in place for Prince George, McGregor and Yellowhead and those issued on Monday for Chilcotin and 100 Mile have been ended.
