Wanted man found hiding on roof

Prince George RCMP made a rooftop arrest of a man wanted on several outstanding charges. Johnny James Boys, 26, was apprehended last Wed., Oct. 24 when Prince George RCMP's downtown safety unit showed up at a 1400-block 3rd Ave. apartment.

Prince George RCMP made a rooftop arrest of a man wanted on several outstanding charges.

Johnny James Boys, 26, was apprehended last Wed., Oct. 24 when Prince George RCMP's downtown safety unit showed up at a 1400-block 3rd Ave. apartment.

Shortly after knocking on the door of a second-floor unit, Boys was seen climbing out the window and onto an adjacent roof. Police followed and found him hiding in a a ventilation shaft on another roof.

Earlier in October, RCMP issued a request for the public's help in finding Boys, who was wanted on allegations of break and enter and weapons possession from two incidents in June.

During the search incidental to the arrest, Boys was found in possession of a significant amount of cash, cocaine and methamphetamine, RCMP said.

Boys remained in custody as of Tuesday.
