Two charged with stolen property possession

Two men are accused of landing a huge haul of stolen property after their arrest in Prince George. Darren Robert Kelly, 45, and Grenville Clarke, 29, were charged with three counts each of possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000).

Two men are accused of landing a huge haul of stolen property after their arrest in Prince George. 

Darren Robert Kelly, 45, and Grenville Clarke, 29, were charged with three counts each of possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000). The total value of the allegedly stolen goods were worth an estimated $500,000 and had been missing for about a day. 

According to pokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass, Prince George RCMP were tipped off Friday about a stolen Kenworth semi-truck from Whitecourt, Alta. sighted heading west on Highway 16 approaching Prince George and pulling a flatbed trailer with a bulldozer on it.

The truck was said to have been stolen from Whitecourt earlier that same day.  

"Multiple officers located the truck and activated emergency equipment along 1st Avenue in Prince George," Douglass said. "The driver of the truck pulled over. The two occupants were arrested without incident. Checks of the trailer and bulldozer were found to have been (allegedly) stolen from Edson, Alta. the previous day, June 21."

Kelly was also charged with possession Of break-in instruments. Both he and Clarke are reportedly from Edson and were scheduled to appear in provincial court Wednesday.
