Tourism Prince George CEO resigns

Tourism Prince George will be seeking a new chief executive officer.

After 5 1/2 years, Erica Hummel has resigned to take on a new posting in Edmonton, TPG said in a statment issued Thursday.

"During her time with TPG, Erica's dedication has resulted in the growth and development of the tourism sector in the community and delivered tangible benefits to tourism stakeholders and industry partners," TPG said.

Hummel's last day on the job is Oct. 4. The TPG board has appointed Sarah Kirk CEO on an interim basis.
