The 30 km/h speed limit will be back in force at three Prince George schools starting on Wednesday.
With spring break at an end, Ecole Lac des Bois, Southridge and Heather Park elementary schools will be taking in the children of health care workers and emergency first responders designated as essential services personnel.
Between the three schools in Prince George and one in each of McBride, Valemount and Mackenzie, about 70 students are being taken in as the COVID-19 pandemic plays out.
