Shoplifter threatens to stab employee

Police are on the lookout for a woman suspected of making off with roughly $500 worth of perfume from a Prince George store and threatening to stab an employee who confronted her.

The robber occurred at the Shoppers Drug Mart at Spruceland Shopping Centre on Tuesday night. Police were called to the scene shortly after 9 p.m. and, despite an extensive search of the area, were unable to find the suspect.

She is described as having blonde hair and wearing a black hoodie and silver jeans with designs and carrying a large black purse with chains.

Police said she loaded up a basket with the perfume then left the store on foot after threatening the employee and crossed Highway 97.
