A local man has been sentenced to a further 341 days in jail for his role in the robbery of a local electronics store.

Once he's completed the sentence, Keenan Frank Sam, 28, will be on probation for one year under the terms issued Tuesday in Prince George provincial court.

Sam was arrested after RCMP were called on Sept. 10, 2019 to a complaint that three people had grabbed items from a shelf and then rushed the exit. When an employee confronted them, one of the three brandished a knife, RCMP said at the time.

The trio fled on bikes but Sam and a 15-year-old youth were arrested the next day while Chelise Danika Charlie, 20, was arrested after RCMP issued a call for the public's help to find her. She was sentenced in January to two days in jail and one year probation for theft $5,000 or under.

Sam, who had been in custody for 251 days prior to sentencing, was also sentenced to time served on two counts of breaching probation as well as for one count each of theft $5,000 or under and possessing a stolen credit card from a separate incident.
