A collision between a fuel truck and a passenger car led to the death of one person Thursday morning on Highway 20 west of Williams Lake.
Another person was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, added RCMP, who were called to the scene on top of Lee's Hill in Hanceville shortly before 11 a.m.
The site has remained closed to traffic to allow police to collect evidence.
"The investigation is in the early stages and details of the crash are limited," RCMP said.
Estimated time of reopening is 5:30 p.m., according to DriveBC.
