Putting the focus on Prince George's big city aspects to balance the obvious great outdoors features that are usually emphasized when describing the city, Tourism Prince George has launched their latest brand Rural Urbanity.

Tourism PG hired 6ixSigma Productions to create a video around the urban and cultural features the city has to offer with the focus on a local resident Evann Campbell of Silky Hen Design who was commissioned to create a limited edition T-shirt.

The video follows Campbell around various downtown locations that inspired her design.

As a designer Campbell has created many logos, merchandise, apparel and labels for Prince George businesses like Betulla Burning, Birch & Boar and musician Danny Bell.

“Evann as an artist and community member has been a common thread among lots of other organizations and her involvement is what drew (no pun intended) us to working with her and showing off the downtown scene," Tracey McBride, CEO at Tourism Prince George, said.

"She is just one of many talented entrepreneurs and interesting people in Prince George that we will be highlighting with this new approach. We look forward to creating more aspirational and inspiring videos for both tourists and residents over the next few years.”

Campbell said it's important for her to acknowledge the culture of downtown.

"I wanted to express those connections, those unique relationships that we all have with these amazing people behind them,” Campbell said.

The limited edition T-shirt will be for sale April 30 at 3 p.m. Visit tourismpg.shop to purchase a shirt before they sell out. To watch the video visit
