A Prince George man has been charged in connection with two break and enters into downtown businesses and is a suspect in a third, RCMP said.

Allan Douglas Nigh, 39, was arrested on Sunday, April 5, when RCMP converged on a 300-block George St. business just after 6:30 a.m.

Two days later, Nigh was released on bail and, on Monday, he was arrested once again when, at about 11:15 p.m., RCMP were called to an alarm at a 100-block Brunswick Street automobile dealership.

Police found the business had been broken into and a vehicle window smashed out. With the help of security camera images of a man wearing a camouflage jacket and dark ball cap, Nigh was arrested a short time later on Quebec Street.

Nigh is also a person of interest in a break and enter at a 600-block Victoria Street restaurant at about 10 p.m.

Police said a witness saw a man wearing a camouflage jacket and black hat and carrying a black bag leaving the scene but a suspect was not immediately located.

Nigh remains in custody on a detention order.
