Two people are in custody and police are on the lookout for a third following a home invasion at a Redwood Street residence last week.

Vincent Williams, 25, and Teresa Marie Charlie, 27, both face 14 charges, including three counts each of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm, as well as one count of using an imitation firearm.

Ivan Christopher Skin, 27, remains at large. He is described as First Nations, 170 cm (5'7") tall and weighing 65 kg (144 lbs) with black hair and brown eyes.

Police were called to the scene during the late evening of Dec. 28.

"Multiple suspects forced their way into the residence with weapons and stole several items," RCMP said. "Three persons in the residence received minor injuries."

It was one of 1,222 calls for service Prince George RCMP received over the holiday season, from Dec. 20 to Jan. 1.

Other significant files over that time included a report of a Christmas Day shooting at a home in the 2600 block of Norwood Street.

An 18-year-old male was found suffering from multiple, but non-life threatening, gunshot wounds and taken to hospital.

Known to police, he has not cooperated with the investigation, RCMP said.

The same was said of a stabbing during the early morning of New Year's Day at a party at a Dagg Road home.

Both the victim, an 18-year-old male, and the witnesses, were not cooperative, police said.

Also early morning on New Year's Day, a man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a vehicle in the 2400 block of Highway 97 North. He was not using a crosswalk, RCMP said.

David Michael Lucas faces a charge of dangerous driving  after RCMP were called to a report of a break and enter at a Nugget Avenue home on Dec. 29.

RCMP said police arrived to find a suspect vehicle leaving the scene and then sliding into a snowbank on Radcliff Drive as the driver attempted to flee.

Lucas, who remained in custody as of Thursday, has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance, breaching probation and three weapons-related counts

David Charles Bernard Cox also remained in custody on one count of mischief and two weapons-related charges after he was arrested on Boxing Day when police were called to a disturbance at a Loyola Crescent home.

He was found in possession of a device believed to be capable of firing a .22-calibre bullet, police said.

Three youths were arrested on Dec. 28 after stealing a vehicle from a Ruggles Street home.

"The owner had left the vehicle unlocked and running in the driveway," RCMP noted.

It was tracked to a parking lot near Fifth and Carney and the three were apprehended after they attempted to flee on foot.

In all, Prince George RCMP received 44,000 calls for service during 2017, an average of 120 files a day. That's up from 41,400 files, or about 113 files per day, over 2016.
