Some key equipment has been stolen from the Spruce City Men's Fastball Association's ball park in Carrie Jane Gray Park.
The missing items include the receiver for the park's scoreboard as well as two speakers, a mixer board and amplifier, a microphone and 40 feet of microphone cable, two parts of a radio and a vacuum cleaner.
The theft was reported Mon., April 4 and could have occurred as early as March 21 and it appears the break in was made through a folding concession stand window that had been unlocked, according to Prince George RCMP.
SCMFA president Peter Ghostkeeper said the total worth of the equipment exceeds $5,000 and will be hard to replace. Adding to the trouble, the SCMFA will be hosting the Canadian Native Fastball Championships, July 29-August 1.
"We'll definitely need it for the tournament but we need it for the weekly ball games too," Ghostkeeper said.
The items were uninsured and no serial numbers were recorded.
Anyone who has information on where the equipment could be is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
