Dangerous driving suspect faces four charges

A man suspected of trying to run other motorists off the road while behind the wheel of an uninsured car remained in custody on four charges as of Monday.

In addition to counts of dangerous driving, fleeing police and driving while impaired, Taylor Fountain, 33, has also been charged with unlawful confinement or imprisonment from the June 4 incident in which a female passenger was also arrested but later released.

Prince George RCMP had to close down part of Highway 16 east of the city had lay out spike belts after the driver refused to pull over. McBride RCMP had given local Mounties the heads up about an erratic driver heading towards Prince George, all the while swerving into oncoming lanes and trying force other drivers off the road.
