RCMP and family members in Prince George are continuing their search to find Helen Claire Frost who went missing more than 40 years ago.

On Oct. 13, 1970 the 17-year-old left her apartment in the 1600 Block of Queensway around midnight after telling her sister she was going for a walk. Helen was never seen or heard from again.

RCMP conducted an extensive search, but were unable to locate any evidence or information that could lead to the teenager's whereabouts. Though Helen had faced a number of emotional challenges in her life at that time, RCMP continued to look at all possible avenues into her disappearance.

At the time she was described as five-feet-five-inches tall with a slim build, blue eyes, short blonde hair and a fair complexion. She was last seen wearing a three-quarter length blue coat and blue pants.

Police are again asking anyone with information regarding Helen's whereabouts to contact the RCMP Serious Crime Unit at 250-561-3300 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
