Images from security camera helped RCMP track down a man known to the police and courts following a theft from a shed in the back yard of a home near the VLA.

Bradley Robert Foster, 41, has been charged with break and enter, possessing stolen property, possessing a controlled substance and breaching probation after he was arrested Monday morning, about 90 minutes after RCMP received a report from a MacDonald Avenue home.

Police said the camera caught images of someone entering the yard through a gate at about 4 a.m., breaking into the locked shed and making off with over $2,000 worth of items.

They included a bicycle, helmet, chainsaw, tackle box, fishing rods, power tools and hiking boots.

The theft was reported to Prince George RCMP at 8 a.m. and by 9:30 a.m. Foster was located near the corner of Queensway and 17th Avenue.

The bike and helmet were recovered. A knife and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine were found on Foster, RCMP added.

Foster, who has a lengthy criminal record for petty offences, remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
